The J.M. VSOP is an agricole rhum made in Martinique, at the Rhum J.M. distillery, where they also grow their own sugar cane. The VSOP is matured for 3 years in re-charred Bourbon barrels and it is then finished in toasted virgin American oak barrels for one more year.

TASTING NOTES – J.M. VSOP
Nose
Rich scents of citrus, mainly lemon, followed by candied citrus fruits, together with hints of vanilla and wood spices. A touch of wood is also perceptible.
Palate
Cocoa and candied orange are delivered, enriched by an important spiced mix, made of paprika and a touch chili pepper.
Finish
Medium-long persistence. The notes of piquant spices and wood are confirmed.
Overall, the J.M. VSOP is an easy to drink agricole rhum, equipped with a fresh flavor profile. The bouquet is not particularly wide, but it is harmonious.
