J. Rieger & Co. has announced the 2021 release of its Monogram Whiskey series. Like all of the previous Monogram releases, this is also a collaboration with sherry expert Steve Olson. The 2021 Monogram release is 100% Straight Rye blended whiskey, which was matured for between 5 to 10 years before entering the century-old, 500-liter Bota sherry cask. Then, the whiskey matured for nearly 6 more years exclusively in Bota #4. That century-old Bota is from the Williams & Humbert Solera Especial.
Rieger’s Monogram Whiskey 2021 Oloroso Bota is limited to only 539 bottles and bottled at 110 proof (50% ABV). The 2021 series will be available at liquor retailers and in restaurants across the Kansas City metro area. A small amount will also be available for New York and a few other select markets. Each bottle will have an MSRP of $139.99.
