TASTING NOTES – HSE RÉSERVE SPÉCIALE VSOP
Nose
It delivers a mix of candied fruit, orange jam, brown sugar and vanilla. Then, milk chocolate and a light scent of black pepper become perceptible.
Palate
Slightly sweet. Dried fruit, milk chocolate, dried apricot and dried figs are now perceptible. Lastly, candied orange.
Finish
Medium persistence. It is rich in wood spices and with a hint of candied fruit.
Overall, the HSE Réserve Spéciale VSOP is a light rum in terms of flavor. Despite the ABV (45% – 90 proof), it a bit lacks in terms of intensity.
