Hazelburn is the Springbank version with a triple distillation, compared to the usual double. The whisky tasted is a 13-year limited edition. Aged in ex-Oloroso Sherry barrels unfiltered and not colored, as per the tradition of the Campbeltown distillery.

Tasting Notes Hazelburn 2003 Oloroso Cask Matured
Nose: notes that recall the countryside are followed by soothing hints of sulfur, barbecue and bacon. There is also a note of processed leather present, which is followed by milk chocolate, red fruits (plums and prunes) and coffee powder.
Palate: mouthfeel is gentle and of low intensity. Red fruits, spicy notes of paprika and coffee are outlined. The intensity is constantly increasing. Notes of espresso, milk chocolate, plum, red peach and malt complete the flavor profile.
Finish: long persistence and medium intensity. Notes of black pepper, malt, coffee, red fruits and vanilla are perceptible.
