Golden Horse Musashi is a blended Japanese whiskey. Behind this brand is Toa Shuzo Co., although the origins are of the Akuto family, which entered the distillate business back in 1626, and at the time exclusively producing sake. Isouji Akuto, who represents the nineteenth generation of the Akuto family, opened the Hanyu distillery in 1941. After a period of inactivity, the distillery passed to the new owners, Toa Shuzu, who decided to relaunch the brand. In 2016, the products therefore underwent a restyling, the bottle was completely redesigned. The availability of these products is not among the easiest to get outside of Japan.
