TASTING NOTES – GLEN GRANT THE MAJOR’S RESERVE

Nose

There are aromas of wood and vanilla, together with fresh floral hints, that reveal themselves in the background. Then nuances of fruit follow, among which the green apple stands out.

Palate

Notes of fruit, which confirm the green apple, and vanilla. The bouquet is simple and rather limited, but at the same time, harmonious.

Finish

Medium-short persistence. Notes of young wood and a spicy touch of white pepper.

Overall, The Glen Grant The Major’s Reserve is a Scotch with a decent aromatic intensity, despite the ABV being “only” 40%. The flavor profile is not among the widest, and on the palate it is somewhat contained, but it is easy to appreciate and endowed with good harmony.
