M. K. & Söhne, a new German distribution company founded by the Kohlhase family, has announced the first two brands it will represent: Gilbert de Montsalvat and Skel Ton.

Gilbert de Montsalvat was distributed by Kohlhase & Kopp. Brothers Adam and Daniel Kohlhase announced last summer that, after nearly three decades, they were leaving Kohlhase & Kopp. They launched M. K. & Söhne, which also includes their sister, Katharina.

Tonio Neugebauer, founder and owner of Skel Ton, launched the brand in 2016. The Plasencia family rolls the company’s cigars.

“We are very fortunate to work in an industry where the owners are passionate and dedicated. They are people who go beyond their own limits, who want to make a difference, who have a story to tell, and who have given up their secure jobs to pursue their passion. This both impresses and motivates us. Tonio and Raymondo are no exception in this regard. Being able to work with such talented people is a gift. They are the beating heart of our industry,” said the Kohlhase brothers.
