Weltschmerz

Following RVGN Rauchvergnügen and Raumzeit, they announce Weltschmerz – the third regular blend in their portfolio. Weltschmerz is the second blend engineered within their partnership with Claudio Sgroi.Weltschmerz is German for “a feeling of melancholy and world-weariness. “It’s a cigar for the darker moments of life. They describe the aromatic experience of Weltschmerz as “Back in the rolling hills of home. The oven still warm, childhood memories in the air. All is well.”

Weltschmerz is made at the Tabacalera Tambor in Nicaragua, and the blend consists of an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler. Weltschmerz will come in two sizes, Robusto (50 x 127mm – 5″) and Perfecto (54 x 140mm – 5 1/2″). The latter size was voted on by retailers and consumers around the world. Retail price is set at $12 and $14 respectively in the U.S., and €12 and €14 in Europe.

Market introduction of the Robusto is planned for November 2022 in the U.S. Production of the Perfecto will begin immediately. In March 2023, both formats will be available internationally.
