Foundation Cigar Company adds the David & Goliath sizes to the Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No. 142 line. The David and Goliath sizes, originally released in 2020 to the original Tabernacle line. Nick Melillo, the owner of Foundation Cigars, also used a larger ring gauge perfecto for his El Güegüense 5th Anniversary cigar https://www.cigarslover.com/en/el-guenguense-5yr-aniversario-coming-in-september/.
“The Havana Seed Connecticut is extremely rare and unlike any other tobacco in the world,” said master blender Nicholas Melillo. Connecticut tobacco growers developed this historical seed to provide greater resistance and durability. Due to the incredible amount of oil from the plant, the leaf takes three years to undergo fermentation. The CT No. 142 blend uses a Mexican San Andres binder, with a mix of Nicaraguan and Honduran filler tobaccos. Now there will be two new sizes to enjoy the CT No. 142 wrapper. The David is a 54 by 127mm (5″) perfecto. The David will come in 25-count boxes and have an MSRP of $12 per cigar. The Goliath is a bigger ring gauge with be a 58, but still a 127mm (5″) length cigar. Goliath also is packed in 25-count boxes and has a higher $14 MSRP per cigar.
Both new sizes to the Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No. 142 line will be available at the end of October 2021.
