Drew Estate Undercrown 10 Factory Floor Edition

Drew Estate Undercrown 10 Factory Floor Edition 1600 900 Scott Sherer

Undercrown 10 Factory Floor

Drew Estate’s “A Decade of Dedication” celebration continues with a very limited production, the Undercrown 10 Factory Floor Edition. The Undercrown brand was created in 2011 by the rollers on the floor in the factory. If I remember correctly, Jonathan Drew, Founder and President of Drew Estate, told the story at an event, the rollers loved the T52 blend. However, there was a shortage of wrappers, so they used a different wrapper so they could still enjoy the cigar. That is how the Undercrown was “Born on the Factory Floor.” To make the limited edition even more unique, there is a “tobacco leaf library” in each Factory Floor edition box. This special edition includes 12 small sample rolls of the individual tobaccos used to make the blend. You can hold the individual leaf in your hand and experience just that one ingredient in the cigar blend. The label in the box says the tobacco library isn’t for consumption, so burn at your own risk. From the official press release, Jonathan Drew said: “The epic presentation behind Factory Floor Edition is an added touch of class to Undercrown 10, offering an experiential component while you burn your cigar. It’s as if you’re magically transported by Elon Musk to our factory floor, where our torcedores warmly greet you and demonstrate the blend selection behind Undercrown 10. It’s like, yo, we want you there with us at the factory but that’s not possible right now. So, snag a box of these and let’s ride.”

The Undercrown 10 Factory Floor Edition only comes in one size. The cigar is in the Lonsdale vitola, measuring 46 ring gauge by 152mm (6″). The cigar’s wrapper is a Mexican San Andres Dark, the binder is a Connecticut broadleaf, and fillers are a mix of Brazilian and Nicaraguan tobacco. Cigars come in a limited edition box in an eye-catching blue, with gold trim. Boxes are in the 20-count format. The MSRP is $13.60 per cigar or $272 per box. At the time of this article, cigars are currently available at Drew Diplomat Retailers nationwide.
