Davidoff Masterpiece Humidor: Damajagua

Davidoff Masterpiece Humidor: Damajagua

Davidoff Masterpiece Humidor: Damajagua 300 123 Michel Arlia

Davidoff presents a new humidor for a limited cigar series: the Masterpiece Humidor Damajagua Edition, made by the famous French artist Rose Saneuil.

Conceived by Davidoff as an ode to the Caribbean terroir, the new Humidor Damajagua masterpiece (limited and numbered) follows the big success of the Humidor Cave de Paille, created by famous French artist, Lison de Caunes.

Davifoff-Damajagua-Box-21

Rosa Saneuil takes pointers from the Damajagua Forrest, situated in the north of the Dominican Republic, and utilized 25 different material (among which are woods from sycamore, pears, nuts, straw, parchment, shagreen, lambskin) and tobacco leafs cultivated by Davidoff in Damajagua; this leafs, reddish in color, give the cigar a sweet and creamy taste.

The cigars come in a Toro size (52 x 152 mm) and is composed by the following tobaccos:

  • Capa: Habano seed, cultivated in Ecuador
  • Capote: San Vicente Mejorado, cultivated in the Dominican Republic
  • Filler: Viso Condega, Viso Estelí, Viso Piloto, Viso San Vicente Mejorado and Viso Piloto Mejorado, cultivated in the Dominican Republic

The top of the humidor depicts a vivid vermilion colored bird, that soars over the Caribbean Forrest and the tobacco therein cultivated; the inside of the humidor is made out of Gabon wood, better known as Okoume, completely taste- and odorless, to avoid any transfers of taste/odor on to the cigar. Every humidor is equipped with three Davidoff De Luxe humidifiers, that guarantee a stable humidity between 70 and 72%.

The Damajagua Mastepiece Humidor will be available at Davidoff Flagship Stores and selected tobacconists at the end of April 2017; The N.1 of 20 will be auctioned at the ProCigar Festival 2017 in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic; the humidor contains 50 Toro sized Damajagua cigars and will start at a price of 25’000$.
