The Cohiba Serie M Reserva Roja 2024 is the limited release of the Cohiba brand, owned by General Cigar Co., now in its fourth edition. The M series was first released in 2021 and featured a green and gold color scheme, an element that was maintained for the two subsequent releases. The 2024 version has slightly broken the mold compared to the past, replacing the green with Bordeaux red and inserting the wording “Reserva Roja” (red reserve) together with the year in the second band.
As for the cigar itself, the vitola chosen for this fourth edition is a Toro with a blend consisting of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos for the filler, held together by a Nicaraguan Corojo leaf and dressed in a Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper. The production of this cigar, since 2021, has been entrusted to the El Titan de Bronze factory based in Miami. The cigar is sold in ten-count boxes, and production is limited to 2500 boxes.
The cigar is dressed in a Colorado-colored wrapper with brown highlights. The pigtail closure of the head and the closed foot are immediately noticeable. To the touch, the wrapper is very smooth, with barely visible veins. The general construction is excellent, while the draw appears a bit open.

Cohiba Serie M Reserva Roja 2024: hints of nuts, spices and wood, all of the same intensity, are perceptible in the cold draw.
Once lit, the cigar brings a sweet smoke to the palate, with a less marked sapid note. It expresses powerful notes of noble wood and spices, followed by less evident notes of coffee and nuances of leather. The strength is medium-full (4/5).
In the central section, the sapidity becomes equal to the sweetness. Next to the well-defined note of noble wood, a less marked note of nuts is added, all enriched by mineral nuances and cellulose. The strength remains unchanged (4/5).
In the final third, the notes of noble wood and nuts are confirmed (which become more evident), the spices return and earthy notes join, the latter two with minimal intensity. The strength remains unchanged.
Overall, the Cohiba Serie M Reserva Roja 2024 offers an intense and aromatically rich smoke without neglecting a very evident and sustained strength. The aromas are intense and well blended together on a sweet-sapid base that remains stable throughout the smoke. The evolution, although palpable, is limited.
