The cigar is rolled in a bright Colorado Claro wrapper. There is not much to say about the construction and filling, which are both in the norm.

Brun del Re Premium Torpedo: aromas of hazelnut and honey, but also less intense notes of coffee, are perceived on the nose.

The opening surprises with a sweetness that envelopes the mouth, thanks to a creamy, almost chewable smoke. This Figurado expresses itself with citrus and dry floral scents, but also with light nuances of wood and white pepper. Strength is light (1/5).

 width=

The cigar remains sweet, in the second third, and the smoke is pleasant on the palate. The evolution is not pronounced, but can be appreciated for their light nuances of wood, white pepper and spices. Honey remains the predominant flavor. Strength remains unchanged (1/5).

In the last third, the sweetness is joined by an acid component. A flavor explosion make the Nicaraguan origin of the filler leaves more then evident. Cocoa, wood and dried fruit, dominate the scene on an earthy background. Strength increases slightly, becoming medium-light (2/5).

Overall, this Premium Torpedo has positively surprised us. It manages to be balanced between strength and aromas, returning a gratifying flavor profile during the 80 minutes of smoking time. Moderately complex aromas, with a more than discrete evolution. A richer and more captivating middle section would have made it an excellent cigar.
