The Brun del Re Colonial Torpedo is one of the products made by the homonymous brand based in Costa Rica. The brand boasts a portfolio of different lines, among which there is the Colonial, represented by four formats.

The Torpedo and the other forms of the line are sold in 25-ct boxes and in 5-ct cardboard packs. Cuban seeds grown in Nicaragua and Costa Rica are used for the filler.

Once lit, the cigar is sapid and acidic, while it expresses notes of coffee, spices, and wood, all of equal intensity. Strength is light (1/5).

In the central section, the acidity loses intensity while the sapidity remains unchanged. Aromas of wood with a spiciness which, compared to the first third, loses its richness. Strength remains unchanged (1/5).

In the last third, the aroma of wood is more pronounced, becoming the primary flavor, while vegetal nuances appear. Strength undergoes a slight increase, becoming medium-light (2/5).

Overall, the Brun del Re Colonial Torpedo offers an unobtrusive, composed smoke without too many changes. The flavor profile is not among the broadest, but the aromas expressed are well-defined and recognizable, thanks to a contained strength.
