The Bladnoch Talia is a 25 years old whisky made in the Lowlands. It is a single malt finished in Port piped. This whisky was released back in 2017. There are other two “Talia”, a 27 years old and another 25 years old, finished in “new oak”.

TASTING NOTES – BLADNOCH TALIA 25 YEARS OLD PORT PIPE FINISH
Nose
Scents of caramel and ripe fruit, with rich plum, prickly pears and pineapple, get developed to the nose. Then it is the time of balsamic herbs, mainly menthol, and red fruits.
Palate
The first sip is sweet, warm and rounded. Notes of cocoa beans and ripe fruit, once again the plum but now together with exotic fruits, reach the palate. Then walnut and wood are also perceivable.
Finish
The persistence is medium-long. It develops notes of ripe red fruit together with honeyed nuances.
Overall, the Bladnoch Talia 25 years old Port pipe finish is a warm and smooth Scotch whisky, capable of delivering a structured and harmonious flavor profile. That said, expectations were a little higher considering the long aging.
