#4 REST OF THE WORLD – Casa Turrent Origins San Andrés

Casa Turrent Origins San Andrés

Casa Turrent Origins San Andrés

STRENGTH: ••••
SIZE: 54 x 140 mm (5 ½’’)
PRICE: $ 7 | €-
TIME: 1h 10 min

COUNTRY: Mexico
WRAPPER: Mexico (San Andrés)
BINDER: Mexico (San Andrés)
FILLER: Mexico & Nicaragua

This year, Casa Turrent released the Origins series. It is a series that comes in four different blends: Cuba, Miami, Nicaragua and San Andres. Each blend comes in the same 54 x 140 mm (5 ½”) sized vitola. Cigar with a strong flavor intensity, which is perceptible since the first puffs. The finish is very long. Satisfying.

Earth, coffee beans and a spicy background with a persistence that never seems to end. Then, young wood and hot spices. In the final part, the balsamic herbs come through, which refreshes the smoke considerably.

HOW ARE THE AWARDS MADE?

Among the cigars tested during the year in blind tastings and reviews, those that scored the best score get re-selected. These products were then tested once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The test results are then compared and the TOP 5 are made.

Since 2015, CigarsLover Magazine has focused on terroirs, in order to give the right space to all the producing countries.

From 2018, the TOP 5 were paired with the TOP 50, which lists the 50 best cigars without distinction of origin. This list, together with the Best Brands, the Best Buy and the Best Boutique Brands, will be published in Winter 2019 issue of CigarsLover Magazine.
