The Atabey Duendes Torpedo is one of the priciest cigars made in Costa Rica. It is sold in a 30 count box, and the blend is not fully disclosed: the producer only declared that the wrapper is from Ecuador. Five are the cigars belonging to the line, and the Torpedo is the smallest size; the others are Atabey Benditos (7 x 58), Atabey Dioses (8 x 50), Atabey Misticos (6 3/4 x 56), Atabey Spiritus (7 x 40).
The cigars are well made and wrapped in a Colorado Claro shaded leaf, which is smooth to the touch. The filling is generous and uniform.

Atabey Duendes Torpedo: the cold draw brings scents of hay to the nose. Once lit, the first few puffs are elegant and sweet.
Overall, the Atabey Duendes Torpedo delivers an elegant smoke. The cigar is well-balanced, and the flavor profile is best enjoyed in the morning, with a clean palate. The evolution is perceivable between the first two-thirds, and then the aromas do not change till the end of the smoke.
