Alec Bradley Cigar Co. announced that the limited edition Black Market Estelí Diamond will begin shipping to tobacconist this week. Originally scheduled for June 2020, the Coronavirus Pandemic halted the importation of the special 16-count boxes. This cigar is a medium to full bodied cigar featuring a dark natural wrapper from Nicaragua. Binder is a double binder combination from Honduras and Nicaraguan leaves, with filler from Nicaragua. An extra Ligero leaf is added to the filler before being pressed into the Diamond shape. The Diamond requires extra time in the manufacturing process due to the unique Diamond shape.
The Black Market Estelí Diamond is the follow-up of Nica Pura Diamond Rough-Cut which debuted in 2014. The proprietary diamond shape pays homage to the Trilogy , a triangle shaped cigar created by Alec Bradley’s founder, Alan Rubin.
“We’re delighted to finally ship the Black Market Estelí Diamonds” said Alec Bradly Director of Sales & Marketing, Jonathon Lipson. “Although inadvertent, the extra time in the aging room allowed the tobaccos to marry even longer, bringing out even richer flavor notes. Not only is this a limited edition, this is now an extra special release!”
The Black Market Estelí Diamonds are a 6 1/4 inch long by 54 ring gauge cigar. 1500 16-count boxes are produced at the Plasencia Factory in Nicaragua. The Black Market Estelí Diamond has a $9.85 retail price before any taxes. The entire production was presold to tobacconists in March 2020, check your local retailer soon.
