Adventura Royal Return King’s Gold Toro

Adventura Royal Return King’s Gold Toro

Adventura Royal Return King’s Gold Toro 1600 900 Luca Cominelli

Adventura Royal Return King’s Gold Toro is one of the two cigars belonging to the King’s Gold line, one of the two newest launches of Adventura (the other is called “Queen’s Pearl”) that have been released as under the “Royal Return” series. The other King’s Gold size is the Robusto, awarded as the best Dominican cigar of 2020 and the best overall cigar of 2020. The cigar is sold in boxes of 20 cigars that recall a treasure chest. Like all the releases of the brand, the boxes are great and very easy to recognize. The cigars are rolled at Tabacalera William Ventura, in the Dominican Republic.

Adventura King's Gold Toro

Adventura Royal Return King’s Gold Toro is rolled in a gorgeous and oily Maduro wrapper. The cigars are silky to the touch, and the construction is flawless, with a generous filling. The band dressing these cigars is golden and metallic. This is something new to Adventura (all the past releases have been dressed with more traditional paper bands).

Adventura King's Gold Toro

Adventura Royal Return King’s Gold Toro: rich scents of earth and black pepper are perceivable in the cold draw. The first few puffs deliver salty aromas of earth, together with some roasted notes of coffee beans.

Adventura King's Gold Toro

The first third brings notes of seasoned wood and leather to the palate, together with a vegetal touch and hints of incense in the background. There are also some spicy notes present. Strength is medium (3/5).

In the central section, the cigar reveals notes of earth, seasoned wood, and a mix of spices. The hints of incense are still present. Strength is now slightly above medium (3.5/5).

The spicy component gets richer in the last third, with a white pepper aroma and a touch of hot spices. The incense is now more present and is joined by balsamic herbs. Earth is still perceivable in the background. Strength reaches a medium-full level (4/5), satisfyingly closing the smoke,

Overall, the Adventura Royal Return King’s Gold Toro delivers a well-rounded smoke with an ample flavor profile. The evolution is not among the greatest, but some transitions are happening. Balanced.
