Tasting Notes HIGHLAND PARK 10 YO VIKING SCARS

Nose: simple, sweet and fruity, with notes of yellow apple. We also perceive vanilla, malt and a soft, peaty component. Rather earthy.

Palate: soft and notes of vanilla, malt and fruit are released (apple and orange stand out). There is also a marine component, enriched by a slight smoky touch, which is combined with wood spices. Good balance.

Finish: medium persistence. Pretty dry. A soft, peaty component is perceptible, along with wood tannins and a hint of honey.

Overall, the Highland Park 10 yo Viking Scars is a product that presents a discreet price. Very easy to appreciate and drink. Despite the particularly low alcohol content for a whisky, the intensity is not weak.
