Crowned Heads Court Reserve XVIII

Crowned Heads Court Reserve XVIII

Crowned Heads Court Reserve XVIII 800 451 Michel Arlia

Crowned Heads Court Reserve XVIII is a new limited edition, the first to directly use the brand’s name. The details and insights come directly from of Jon A. Huber, co-founder of the premium cigar brand based in Nashville, Tennessee.

”The genesis and inspiration behind the company’s name, Crowned Heads, were far from any element with regal characteristics; however, over the years, the ‘legion’ of our supporters has been defined, silently and reverently, as our ‘Court’. By literal definition a Court is an extended royal family and in some cases it would be composed of thousands of individuals.

It is with this spirit that Mike Conder and I are very proud to announce the creation of Crowned Heads Court Reserve XVIII. This limited edition was created specifically, with a spirit of gratitude and humility, towards those who have supported our brand over the years. To create this project we came back to the beginning, where it all started: the Tabacalera La Alianza S.A .; to make it happen we were confronted with an icon of the cigar industry or Ernesto Perez-Carrillo.

We selected tobacco based on terroir, the availability of small batches and age. The three first vitolas were subsequently selected and are also the first sizes we ever sold through regular production: Corona Gorda, 46 x 143 mm, Robusto, 50 x 127 mm, and Sublime, 54 x 152 mm. The blend has been expertly blended on the basis of each vitola, keeping in mind the different relationships between wrappers, binders and fillers. The goal was to create excellence from cigar to cigar, from box to box, through little or no variances whatsoever.

The result of this process is the Crowned Heads Court Reserve XVIII, a one-off release of about 150,000 cigars that will no longer be replicated.”

The cigar, with Mexican San Andres wrapper, Ecuadorian binder and Nicaraguan fillers, will be packaged in 20 count boxes. In addition Huber specifies: ”the release was created specifically for our ‘Court’ and exists thanks to our ‘Court”’. The commercialization is scheduled for this fall.
