May 31, J.C. Newman Cigar Company will present the reintroduction of  “The American” brand during two events.

The American is a 100% American cigar, not only the tobaccos, but also boxes, ribbons, bands, cigar molds and cellophane are completely made in the USA.

“The American” is made up of a Florida Sun Grown wrapper (cultivated by Jeff Borysiewicz in Clermont, Florida) A Connecticut Broadleaf binder (cultivated by John Foster in South Windsor, Connecticut) and a Pennsylvania Type 41 (cultivated by  Amish farmers in Lancaster , Pennsylvania) and a Connecticut Havana as filler tobaccos (cultivated by John Foster in South Windsor, Connecticut).

The line will consist of 4 sizes:

  • Robusto, 50 x 114 mm
  • Toro, 54 x 152 mm
  • Torpedo, 52 x 155 mm
  • Churchill, 47 x 178 mm

The cigars are made at the El Reloj factory in Tampa. It is America’s oldest cigar factory and is based in the historic Ybor City district. Built in 1910 by E. Regensburg and Sons, this iconic red brick factory is the place where American cigars are rolled by hand in the same way that the company founder Julius C. Newman did a century ago.

The presentations of the cigar will take place on 31/05 from 6.00 pm to 10.00 pm at:
